TROY, MI – June 27, 2023 – Last summer, MOTOR announced the sponsorship of three scholarships through the Women in Trucking Foundation. These scholarships—The MOTOR Career Advancement Scholarship for Women—were open to women who work as technicians, drivers or in leadership positions in the heavy-duty transportation industry to help them advance their careers via continuing education programs. Now, we are pleased to recognize the recipients of these awards and celebrate their continued growth in the industry:
- Brianna Glowinski, for the leadership category: Glowinski is attending Ball State University in pursuit of her Master’s in Career and Technical Education.
- Turajha Moore, for the driving category: Moore attended ABC School for Trucking for a 20-hour beginners’ program.
- Katie Woodworth, for the leadership category: Woodworth is attending Buena Vista University for Organizational Leadership Business.
The Women In Trucking Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2011 and is supported by the Women In Trucking Association. The Foundation’s mission is to “strengthen the legacy of education in trucking” and provide a source of support for women across the trucking industry.
