If there were something you could do to thank your Shop customers for their business and doing so wouldn’t cost you anything—would you be interested? Who wouldn’t be, right? 

Well, there is a way. The SiriusXM for Shop Customers Program gives three-month trial subscriptions to your eligible customers, at no cost to you. SiriusXM will not charge your customers or ask them to provide a credit card to take advantage of this benefit. 

MOTOR spoke with Mike Leeches, owner of Quality Motors in Laguna Niguel, CA. His shop has been enrolled in the SiriusXM for Shop Customers for the past four years. He’s very enthusiastic about the program and was happy to share his experiences with MOTOR. “We love the program and we’ve had very positive responses from our customers. It’s great to be able to do something to thank them for their business that doesn’t cost them or our shop anything. I’d call that a win-win. The program has been great for our shop,” Leeches stated. 

Because of his success with SiriusXM for Shop Customers, Leeches has told many of his fellow shop owners about the program. “Since the initial setup when we enrolled in the program, everything has been handled by SiriusXM so our eligible customers receive the benefit on an ongoing basis. It’s run very smoothly for us,” said Leeches. 

Over 26,000 Shops and Dealerships thank their customers with three-month trial subscriptions of SiriusXM Platinum or Streaming Platinum plans. We spoke to Gail Berger, Senior Vice President, Automotive Remarketing for SiriusXM, who championed this program since its inception. “Drivers love having SiriusXM along for the ride. With hundreds of channels of ad-free music, a huge selection of live sports, news, entertainment, comedy, kids’ programming and so much more, there’s something for everyone in the car to enjoy. We get such great feedback from our subscribers; we know your customers will really appreciate getting the gift of a SiriusXM subscription. And since your gift to them includes access to the SXM App, they get to enjoy it in the car and out of the car on mobile devices and smart speakers or other connected devices in their homes. This is a great value benefit for the people who come into your shop, and you can provide it to them at no cost to you,” said Berger.

How Does It Work? 

Complete the SiriusXM for Shop Customers online enrollment form and you’ll be contacted to confirm and set up your enrollment. Once your shop is set up in the Program, SiriusXM does the rest. 

All eligible customers with SiriusXM-equipped vehicles will receive three-month SiriusXM Platinum Plan Trial Subscriptions as a thank-you from your shop. SiriusXM will also give three-month SiriusXM Streaming Platinum subscriptions to customers with vehicles that are not equipped with satellite radio.

This process is very turnkey for any shop owner. Your customers will receive this exciting benefit within a week following their service visit on behalf of your shop and SiriusXM.
